About us
At Llanishen Village Pre-School Playgroup, we provide high quality care to enhance the development of preschool children in a nurturing and safe environment.
We provide a range of fun and engaging activities and opportunities to learn through play, in line with the curriculum for Wales.
We have a large outdoor area for children to explore, play and learn in nature.
We are a term time play group for children aged 2–5. We offer morning sessions and walkover for children attending Coed Glas Nursery and Christ the King Nursery afternoon sessions.
We accept the 30 hour childcare offer and childcare tax credits. Click here to learn more about government-funded childcare support.
A mid-morning snack is included in the cost of the session and we encourage the children to bring a packed lunch. We are proud to hold a gold standard healthy eating award and scored 5/5 in environmental food hygiene inspection. We are allergy aware and can accommodate dietary requirements.
Llanishen Playgroup has been running for 30 years. Our staff are experienced, qualified, fully trained and DBS checked. The children’s happiness and wellbeing is our upmost priority and we follow a child centred positive approach.

Natalie Nelson (Owner)
Hello, my name is Natalie, and I’m the owner of Llanishen Playgroup.
I have over 20 years of experience in primary teaching, from early years to KS2, and hold a BA in Primary Education. I also have a Level 5 qualification in Children’s Care, Play, Learning and Development. I am fully qualified in paediatric first aid and hold a Level 2 certificate in Food Safety and Hygiene.
I am dedicated to helping children thrive and grow at this special stage in their development.
I welcome the opportunity to meet your family. My hope is to create a lasting and positive impact during the time that we share through care, attention, and fun!
